Help Me - Painting

The creation of the painting started back than in 2019. When Rog was just 14 years old, she sat alone in the back room of the studio where she used to learn art. Opened a book and found the " Head of a Peasant Woman with greenish Lace Cap" by Vincent van Gogh.

She knew right away that this painting moved something in her heart. The way her eyes stared right into Rog's eyes as a child, gave her a sign of a calling for help. A feeling of sadness, emptiness, loneliness. Something dark that she couldn't really explain but to feel it. 

Rog grew up as a very quiet introvert soul. All through her childhood she had 1-2 friends. She didn't speak much outdoors but where she felt like home she was confident enough to have her fun out. For Rog to have seen a painting of a woman being so miserbale, seeing her "asking for help" with her eyes but not being able to speak out what she feels felt like someone she can relate to. 

That's where the process has begun. Rog tried to express her feelings out through a painting. Loneliness, a cry for help. She couldn't really speak but she could paint. I'ts where emotions came alive for her in this moment.
